Morvan 5 day camping tour (May 2nd - May 8th)

5 day Offroad Tour Frankrijk - Morvan 2020 - Circuit d'automne en Bourgogne (Camping tour).

The Morvan, from the Celtic Mar (black) and Vand (mountain range), is a mountainous region in France. It is located in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, divided into four departments: Yonne, Nièvre, Côte-d'Or and Saône-et-Loire. It is the mountain range closest to Paris. Since 1970 it has had status as a regional nature park.

From our camping accommodation we drive every day into the forests of this sparsely populated area. We remain at the camping for the full tour. The sometimes tedious packing and unpacking of the vehicle is thus largely eliminated and we can concentrate perfectly on off-road driving.

With our off-road vehicles we explore old logging paths, cross smaller streams and drive together on partly challenging ravines and steep forest paths. Depending on the weather, this area can be muddy and quite demanding. Sufficient ground clearance, off-road reduction and off-road tires (MT recommended, but in any case good AT with sufficient tread and side protection) are essential on this tour.

Scratches on the cars must be taken into account as there are many narrow and dense overgrown paths to be driven!

One section or the other may need to be tackled using the winch, but this is not absolutely necessary. Our experienced guides, André and Bert, who will be by your side throughout the tour, to face difficult situations together if necessary, have well-equipped vehicles, and an extensive set of recovery gear.
